A subset of the behaviours seen in fire and explosion simulations produce smoke and mist effects. A key element in this class of simulation is the ability to generate turbulent-type motions.
Using state-change methods as in foam simulations, we are able to achieve fire-smoke transitions in both full 2-fluid simulations and also as post-process effects.
